UCSB EAP Gaucho Scholarship Application

(We are no longer accepting applications for this scholarship.  The deadline was Friday, March 2 at 1:59pm.  Applications submitted online after that date will not be considered.)

This application is for the UCSB EAP Gaucho Scholarship.  This is NOT the same as the UCEAP scholarships.  UCSB students participating on UCEAP programs, you are eligible (and strongly encouraged) to submit applications for both scholarship programs. 

By submitting an application for this scholarship, you will automatically be considered for the following : 

EAP Alison Singer Public Health Scholarship
(Botswana Fall, Community Public Health track)
(Israel Spring, Ben Gurion University, Global Health Track)
EAP Rose Scholarship
(Germany year programs)
Italian Cultural Heritage Foundation Scholarships
(Bologna and Bocconi)
Scholarships for students studying abroad
for the year
Scholarships for students studying abroad for the year
and also taking courses in a foreign language
Griffiths Scholarships
(Programs in Asia)
UK EAP Fund Scholarships
(England fall and year programs)

Your UCSB EAP Gaucho Scholarship application consists of:

  1. Online application (below) which you do NOT need to print out.  This is Part I.
  2. Cover sheet stapled to the front of your application packet.
  3. Copy of your most recent unofficial UC transcript. Make sure that it shows your legal name.
  4. Copy of the UCSB EAP Gaucho Scholarship Application : Part II
  5. If you would like to be considered for financial need funding, submit a copy of your 2017-18 financial aid award letter (if you receive financial aid) 

You must submit your application (online portion below AND hard copy) by 1:59pm on Friday, March 2, 2018.

Please STAPLE all of your application materials in 1 packet and submit it to the UCSB EAP Office in South Hall 2431.

You are strongly encouraged to submit your application materials early.  Additional paperwork and/or an interview may be required. 


- Refer to your financial aid award letter for your grant, scholarship and loan information.  You may find this on tab 4 of your My Aid Status account.

- You can find your program costs and estimated personal expenses on your UCEAP Program Budget, which is found on the Money Matters tab your program's Participants Page

If you receive this grant, it will be listed on your financial aid award letter.
