Get Your Scholarship Essays Reviewed
Step 1:
Research your scholarship options and attend a Financing Your Study Abroad Workshop held biweekly during the fall/winter/spring quarters.
Get your essay reviewed. Visit the CLAS Writing Lab. Peer tutors provide individual assistance to students at any stage of the writing process. Tutors are available on a by-appointment basis on MyCLAS. Prepare for your session by having your materials handy: your work so far saved as a PDF and the prompt. CLAS tutors are not permitted to annotate your work, so you will have the opportunity to take notes or make your own annotations.
Step 3:
Determine if official transcripts or letters of recommendation are required for your scholarship applications. Get these documents ASAP and with plenty of time before the application deadlines. Make sure that any transcripts list your legal name.
Step 4:
Submit all of your scholarship application materials by the deadlines. Note that some are due by a specific time (check the time zone!). Do not wait until the last minute!
